Hoffman Real Estate Named 2022 Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce Member of the Year
The Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce has named Hoffman Real Estate its Member of the Year 2022. This title is awarded annually to “a chamber member who has gone above and beyond in their business, interaction with their community, and engagement with the Chamber of Commerce this past year.” Announced at the Chamber’s 2023 Annual Meeting, held at the Park McCullough Mansion, where Principal Broker/Owner, Jenifer Prouty Hoffman, was in attendance. She accepted the award on behalf of her firm and gave a speech thanking her colleagues and family, who she credits for her entrepreneurial spirit, activity in the community, and belief in always doing the right thing.
Hoffman Real Estate: The Exact Definition of the Award
Hoffman Real Estate launched on April 1, 2020 right after the pandemic lockdown began.Jenifer worked solo for the first 6 months, creating a brand and building out systems, then Erika Floriani joined in the Fall of 2020, learning the ropes from her broker/mentor. In the first year, Jenifer successfully represented 38 buyers and sellers in the marketplace with $7M volume of sales. The following year Jenifer brought in two more agents and the firm served 85 clients and sold $16M of real estate during the peak of the “COVID boom.”. Last year in 2022, she added another new agent, and the firm sold $14M among 60 buyers and sellers. The brokerage’s exponential growth shows just how much Hoffman invests in her business and its most important resource: people.
Jenifer supports her community in numerous ways, including by always supporting local. In fact, she makes it a point to share where she does her holiday shopping each year on social media, encouraging others to do the same and showing off the great products and services we have to offer. Year round, Jenifer is a connector, regularly introducing business owners she thinks would enjoy or benefit from collaborations, introducing clients who’ve recently moved to the area with others she knows who might be able to help them get acclimated, create a job opportunity, become new friends, or myriad other reasons. She takes time to get to know people, their interests and needs, and it really shows in the connections she helps others to build
Hoffman is known all around southwestern Vermont thanks to her involvement both with and outside of the Chamber. She has a robust social media presence, sharing both personal and professional endeavors such as client success stories, volunteer leadership with the local, state, and National Association of Realtors, designing and building her own home with husband Jonathan, and fan favorites dogs and kids (she has adorable nephews). Hoffman serves on the Better Bennington Corporation (BBC) as a director and sponsored the Thursday Night Live series at Merchants Park and the Thompson Family Stage. For the Chamber, Hoffman sponsors events like Garlic Town, USA and the annual golf tournament for business-to-business networking, and she also volunteers at these events. Whether she’s donning tie-dye for Garlic or working the raffles, auctions and 50/50 at the outings, members know they will see and be greeted by Jenifer who authentically connects with members from around the region. This is on top of regularly attending mixers, roundtables and more with the Chamber.
